This cherry fudge is so easy and quick to make that you keep this as a last-minute recipe for a coffee with friends or as a dessert for your meals. With just a few ingredients, you will obtain the most perfect bite-sized treat!

To prepare it, bring the milk, maple syrup and salt to the boil in a small sauce pan. Then, whisk in the agar agar and continue to cook for 3-4 minutes, until it thickens. Finally, stir in the dark chocolate, vegetable butter, vanilla and cherries. Mix well and transfer everything to the dish. Refrigerate for 15 minutes, until it solidifies. Finally, cut the fudge into bite-sized cubes, garnish (if desired) with cocoa powder and a few more cherries, and serve.

Prepare the ingredients

Grease the dish you will use to contain the fudge with vegetable butter and set aside. Then, crush the chocolate into pieces and set aside.

Prepare the fudge base

Put the almond milk, salt, and sugar into a small sauce pan and bring to the boil over high heat. Add the agar agar and whisk well. Turn the heat to medium and cook for another 4 minutes, until the liquid thickens a bit, then take off the heat. Add the vanilla, chocolate pieces, cherries, and vegetable butter. Mix well.

Transfer to the dish

Transfer the fudge to the dish. Sprinkle with a little cocoa powder and put in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Garnish and serve

Cut the fudge into 12 cubes and transfer to the serving plates. Garnish with more cocoa powder and cherries if desired. It keeps for up to 1 week in a closed container.
