The versatility of tofu is what can unleash your creativity in the kitchen. One of our preferred ways to cook it (and to eat it) is by grilling it with a little condiment and accompany it with a salad side dish.

This recipe is really simple to prepare and yet so flavourful! Tofu is grilled with a little olive oil and garlic, then drizzled with a little soy sauce, and sprinkled with hemp hearts and chives.

The hemp hearts boost tofu with extra nutrients and also create a delicious crumble that you can use to top the tofu with.

Serve your tofu fillets hot and accompany with the greens of your choice. Here, we have served it with a green salad dressed in an almond yogurt sauce.

Drain and slice the tofu

Tap the tofu dry with a clean towel, then slice it into strips. Season each slide with a little salt and pepper.

Grill the tofu

Heat the grilling pan with the olive oil and the garlic paste (brush the pan thoroughly to cover all the surface). Add the tofu slices and cook them 2-3 minutes on each sides. Sprinkle with hemp hearts and chives, then drizzle with soy sauce. Cook for 1 more minute on each side until the surface is well golden and starts to crisp.
Take off the heat.

Transfer the tofu fillets to the serving plates and accompany with the side of your choice. Enjoy hot!
