Grilled Faux Salmon
Looking for a quick dinner to prepare? It can’t get easier than this. Grilled faux salmon is tasty like the real thing, without the persistent smell and the fat. All you have to do is to toss the slices into the grilling pan, drizzle with olive oil, season with minced parsley and lime. It will be cooked in 5 minutes.
Accompany with a colorful salad seasoned with vegan mayonnaise. It’s low-carb, keto-friendly and gluten-free.
- 2-3 big lettuce leaves
- 1/4 red cabbage
- A handful of baby spinach leaves
- 2 green onions
- 2 tablespoons of vegan mayonnaise
- 1 Italian tomato
- 6 faux salmon slices
- Olive oil, to taste
- Juice of one lime
- Pinch of minced parsley
Take the faux salmon out of the freezer. While it defrosts (it will take about 10 minutes), prepare the salad. rinse and chop the lettuce, red cabbage, green onions, and tomatoes. Toss in a mixing bowl together with the spinach. Add the mayonnaise, mix well and put in the fridge.
Drizzle the grilling pan with olive oil and heat it. Lay the faux salmon slices on the grilling pan, drizzle with more olive oil and sprinkle some minced parsley on top. Squeeze the juice of half a lime on them. Flip over and repeat all over again. They should be ready in no more than 3-4 minutes. Transfer the salad to the serving plates and lay the faux salmon slices on top.
