Mocktails (mock cocktails) are a great way of staying hydrated and enjoying summer without indulging in alchool. They’re fun to make, healthy, and they can fool anybody in a social situation.
Madras is typically made with cranberry juice, orange juice and vodka. The mocktail version adds a bit of spices and doesn’t add any sugar or other sweetener.
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 cup water
- Ice cubes
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Pinch or ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground cinnamon
- 2 slices of lime, to decorate
Pour the cranberry juice, the orange juice and water into the glass of a shaker. add the ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Shake for 1 minute until all the ingrediengts are evenly mixed. Pour into glasses, add some ice cubes and decorate with two slices of lime to serve.
