Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
1 pack gluten-free Pasta You can use short pasta or long pasta
1 pinch Rock salt
2 tablespoons Olive oil
4-6 Vegan ham slices
1 can Sweet peas
To taste Salt and pepper
1 pack Soy cream
2 tablespoons grated Non-dairy Parmesan-like cheese

This dish has been in the repertoire of life-saving recipes for generations in Italy. It’s silky, comforting, and delicious… that’s the dish for kids and grownups that everybody likes.

Pasta is cooked al dente, then seasoned with a sauce made with sautéed vegan ham and sweet peas  in soy cream. It’s really that easy!

Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of water to the boil, add a pinch of rock salt, and add the pasta. Cook according to the instructions on the package. When al dente, take off the heat and drain.

Prepare the condiment

While the pasta is cooking, slice the vegan slices into thin strips. Open the canned peas and drain. Heat the oil in the pan, add the vegan ham, and the dried onion. Cook for 15 seconds, then stir in the peas. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for a minute. Finally, add the soy cream and cook for 5 more minutes over low heat. Just before mixing the pasta in, take off the heat and stir in the vegan Parmesan-like cheese.

Mix

When the pasta is ready, transfer to the seasoning pan and fold it in the sauce. Adjust with salt and pepper.
