Vegan horseradish sauce
Horseradish sauce is extremely versatile and can accompany almost anything: from salads to faux meats, it gives an extra kick to your dish. However, it is as delicious as is, as a dip with crackers, breadsticks, pita chips or even tortillas.
This recipe only takes 10 minutes to prepare, starting from the fresh horseradish root (you can find it at the supermarket). No cooking required!
- 1 small horseradish root
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 3 tablespoons vegan mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Twist of ground, black pepper
- Pinch of parsley, to decorate
Peel the horseradish root and remove the harder pieces. Grate it finely (I did it with a food processor).
Join the grated horseradish to all the other ingredients and mix well. If desired, sprinkle with parsley to decorate.
